The Android version is built and running. Before Google lets a new developer publish, at least 12 people have to test the app for 14 days in a row. We have room for 20 testers. Be one of them.

Why we need you

Google's rule, not ours

Google Play asks every new developer to run a closed test before their first app can go public. Only once enough testers have stayed in it for long enough can we apply to publish. KartGarage is already on the App Store, but on Google Play we start from zero, so we are asking kart racers directly.

How it works

Four steps, fourteen days

  1. Sign up below

    With the Google account you use for Google Play on your Android phone.

  2. We add you to the test

    Usually within a day. Then we email you the link to join.

  3. Join and install

    Open the link on your phone, join the test, and install KartGarage from Google Play.

  4. Use it for 14 days

    Stay in the test and keep the app for at least 14 days in a row. Use it as you normally would, and tell us about anything that breaks or confuses you.

Questions, answered

Does it cost anything?

No. Joining the test and using the app are free.

Why does it have to be my Google account?

Google Play lets people into a closed test only by their Google account, the one signed in to the Play Store on the phone. Sign up with any other address and Google Play will not show you the test.

What if I leave before the 14 days are up?

You can leave whenever you like; it is a test, not a contract. But a tester who leaves early does not count towards Google's 12, so please stay the full 14 days if you can.

Will I keep my data when KartGarage goes public?

Yes. The test version is the same app on Google Play. When KartGarage goes public, it updates like any other app, and your garage stays where it always was: on your phone.

What happens to my email address?

We add it to the tester list in Google Play Console and use it to write to you about the test. Nothing else: no newsletter, no marketing, and we never sell it. We delete it once the test is over. The Privacy Policy has the details.

What if the test is already full?

We take the first 20 testers. Once every place is taken, the form tells you so and saves nothing. KartGarage comes to Google Play for everyone after the test.

I have an iPhone. Can I help?

KartGarage is already on the App Store, so there is nothing to test on iPhone. But if you know someone who races with an Android phone, send them this page.
