Frequently asked
How is weather used?
When you tap to fetch weather for a setup, the app sends your location to Open-Meteo to look up current conditions. You can grant or deny this in your phone's settings, and you can always enter conditions manually instead. When you import a session, the app also looks up the weather where and when it was recorded, using the session's own GPS position rather than yours. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Where is my data stored?
On your device. There is no account and nothing is uploaded to us. Deleting the app removes local data.
What does KartGarage Pro unlock?
Additional capacity and features beyond the free tier, via a monthly or annual subscription managed through your Apple Account.
How do I restore a purchase?
Use “Restore Purchases” in the app, signed in with the Apple Account used to buy the subscription.
How do I cancel?
Manage or cancel any time in Settings › your name › Subscriptions on your device.
How do I move my data to a new phone?
Back up the whole garage in one file and restore it on the new phone — making the backup is a Pro feature, restoring it is free. A single kart can also be exported as a file, or as a readable report if you just want a record of a setup.
Why can't the app find my MyChron?
Switch the MyChron's Wi-Fi on, then join its network in your phone's Wi-Fi settings: it is called AiM-MYC5 and a number, with no password. If the phone says the network has no internet, stay connected. KartGarage also needs to be allowed to find devices on your local network — if you said no when it asked, turn Local Network back on in Settings › KartGarage. Importing from a MyChron 5 is part of Pro.
